the big questions first

what happens if something doesn’t go as planned?

A direct explanation that most website projects don’t fail because of one big issue — they fail because expectations were unclear. This page explains how common situations are handled before they become problems.

01

What happens if I pay the deposit and the website never gets finished?

The deposit is collected to begin the planning and build process, but you are not paying the full website balance upfront. The remaining website build balance is due before launch, after the website has been built, reviewed, and approved by you.

We structure it this way so you are not carrying all the risk from the beginning. If something comes up during the project, we communicate clearly and handle it based on where the project stands.

02

What happens if I don’t like the website?

You will have a chance to review the website before it launches. If something needs to be adjusted, we make reasonable revisions before launch so the website better fits your business and the direction we discussed.

The goal is not to hand you a website and force you to accept it. The goal is to build something professional, clear, and useful for your customers.

03

What happens if I don’t know what content to put on the site?

That is normal. Most business owners do not know exactly what to say on their website.

We help organize the pages and write the content based on your services, your business information, and what your customers need to know before contacting you. You do not have to write the website yourself.

04

What happens if I’m too busy during the process?

The process is built to keep things simple for you. We start with a Website Planning Meeting, gather the main information we need, and then handle the build from there.

We may need basic details from you, such as services, pricing, photos, service areas, business hours, or preferences. But you do not need to manage the whole project or figure everything out yourself.

05

What happens if my business paperwork, photos, or details are not ready yet?

That depends on what is missing. Some things can be added later, while other details may be needed before the website can launch.

If something important is not ready yet, we can discuss whether the project should continue, pause, or launch with placeholder content where appropriate. The goal is to keep the project moving without publishing inaccurate or unfinished information.

06

What happens if I need to pause the project?

If you need to pause, let us know as soon as possible. We understand that business paperwork, photos, licensing, or other details may take longer than expected.

A short pause is usually not a problem. However, projects cannot stay open indefinitely. If a project is paused for too long, reopening it later may require updated pricing, a new timeline, or additional fees depending on what needs to be done.

07

What happens if I stop responding?

If we cannot reach you and the project is left inactive, the project may be considered abandoned after a reasonable amount of time.

If that happens, we may close the project and are not required to keep the project open indefinitely. Reopening an abandoned project may require additional fees, a new timeline, or a new agreement depending on how much time has passed.

08

What happens if I cancel my monthly Website Care plan?

You are not locked into a long-term monthly contract unless we separately agree to one in writing.

If you cancel your Website Care plan, the services included with that plan stop. That may include hosting, maintenance, updates, support, website changes, form support, booking support, and any other services tied to the monthly plan.

09

What happens if I want to come back later after canceling?

If you cancel and later want to restart service within 6 months from cancellation, we reactivate the website.

Website files may be kept for up to 6 months after cancellation, but they are not kept forever. If too much time has passed, a new website build may be required.

10

What happens if I need changes after launch?

Website changes are handled through your monthly Website Care plan.

Basic Website Care includes a reasonable amount of monthly changes. Premium Website Care includes more flexibility for clients who expect to need more updates, revisions, or ongoing help.

The point is simple: you do not have to log into WordPress and figure it out yourself.

11

What happens if something breaks after launch?

If something breaks, contact us and we will look into it.

Website Care is designed to help with maintenance, updates, technical issues, and general website support after launch. That includes things like plugin issues, display problems, form problems, or other basic website issues.

Some issues may depend on the cause, but you will not be left alone trying to solve technical problems yourself.

12

What happens if I need booking, forms, or email delivery?

Contact forms are a basic part of most small business websites and should be included when needed.

Booking features, email delivery setup, and more advanced form-related setup may depend on the website plan or care plan you choose. If your business needs booking, quote requests, appointment requests, or reliable email delivery, we will discuss that during planning so it is clear before the website is built.

13

What happens if I provide wrong information?

You are responsible for providing accurate information about your business, including services, prices, hours, contact information, policies, licensing, and any claims made on the website.

We help write and organize the website, but you are responsible for reviewing and approving the final information before launch. If something is incorrect, let us know so it can be corrected.

14

What happens if I provide copyrighted, illegal, or problematic content?

You are responsible for making sure any content you provide is legal and allowed to be used. This includes photos, logos, written content, claims, testimonials, videos, downloads, and any other materials you give us.

We may refuse to use or remove content that appears copyrighted, unlawful, misleading, defamatory, inappropriate, or risky. If you are unsure whether something can legally be used, you should speak with the proper legal professional before providing it for the website.

15

What happens if I want to cancel the website project before it’s finished?

If you decide to cancel the project before your website is finished, simply let us know.

Your deposit is non-refundable because it covers the planning, research, content writing, design work, and other time already invested into your project. However, if you cancel before the website is completed, you are not obligated to pay the remaining website build balance.

Our goal is to make the process straightforward—not to lock you into a project you no longer wish to continue.
